Our striking scarf is based on an undated watercolour in The Met Collection, which was created by the Bauhaus designer Gunta Stölzl (German, 1897-1983). The Bauhaus was a utopian craft guild founded in 1919 in the city of Weimar by architect Walter Gropius, where architecture, sculpture, painting and applied arts and crafts were taught as a single creative expression.
